Although no longer open this is the best way to describe the Horseshoe Lounge, “A step back in time”, this cash-only, iconic Zilker dive bar maintained its hometown feel with a clientele that includes “hard-living locals”, “geezers” and “yuppies”, along with serious shuffleboard action and bartenders so nice, it doesn't seem fair to call them staff because they're more like friends; despite its new upscale neighbors, it remained a mainstay for dirt-cheap beer.
