Although no longer open this is the best way to describe the Horseshoe Lounge, “A step back in time”, this cash-only, “iconic” Zilker dive bar maintains its “hometown” feel with a clientele that includes “hard-living locals”, “geezers” and “yuppies”, along with “serious shuffleboard action” and bartenders “so nice, it doesn't seem fair to call them staff because they're more like friends”; despite its new upscale neighbors, it remains a mainstay for “dirt-cheap beer.”
